A little revamping...

We're still working hard on the new section of our shop...we will add some before pictures so you can see the transformation.  But we did a little revamp on one of the chairs we collected along the way somewhere and it came out so cute!  We had been dying to use an acid lime green somewhere so we tried it here...

Before--icky poo brown and stodgy tapestry...no offense to brown or stodginess.  hee.  This chair has no arms but you get the idea. 

 

 

After--Revamped and refreshed with acid green and fab fabric!

 

Better?  We thinks we likes!  The beautiful fabric is from Sis Boom by Jennifer Paganelli.  She has the best fabrics...one is cuter than the next.  Don't mind the dog hair on the floor...white lab with dark floors.  Not a good idea.  Mind you I vacuumed an hour before that picture!

And we are working on some fun stuff at the shop...an expansion!  We have been talking about it forever and are finally doing it.  Our shop is in the garage of a house that is connected to a big building that has a huge lower level.  The lower level is where our flea market finds are housed and they have been building up for a while now.  Since our shop is a little petite thing, we don't have much room for all of our furniture, vintage finds and junk!  So we are taking over the lower level!  It will be filled with furniture, revamped flea market finds, vintage goodies and all kinds of treasures to be found...the thrill of the hunt.  Like a miniature Paris Flea Market!   More news and pictures soon.

Flea Market Season is officialy on!

Woohoo!  I love flea markets, garage sales and trash picking.  The thrill of the hunt is like no other and then to find a jewel among the ruins...that is the best.  But living in NJ our season is quite a bit short, at least for outdoor yard sales,  because of our weather.  So, this past weekend marks my official start to the flea marketing season around these parts with our neighboring town of Lavallette's Town Wide Yard Sale.  We got some cute goodies.  What do you think?

The Summer...

Although summer is not officially here yet...June 21st marks the first official day and the weather is not very summer like in our parts of NJ, I have been looking around for some fab summer images to inspire some changing up of my decorating.  I just added a gorgeous cream and navy blue shower curtain to a bathroom at home found at Target...so fab!  I bought and then just saw it in House Beautiful. 
I also saw a million years ago in a magazine a tiny lil' apartment that was wallpapered in cream and navy zebra wallpaper.  To die.  And it was so gorgeous and I ripped out the article and now of course I can not find it anywhere.  I have so many rip outs from magazines that it would take me 3 years to go through all my stacks.  So, if anyone has ever seen navy and cream zebra wallpaper and knows where to get it let me know! 
So after the zebra wallpaper or probably before it because it will take me forever to find I wanted to add some beachy, summery images to the walls for summer.  Here are a few that I found...

Poor little boy...

Poor little boy had an operation and now he has to wear a flying nun hat.  Muscles is on the mend and doing great.  Poor baby.

 

My new inspiration...

The most fabulous combo of colors ever put together!  Yay!  I finally have my inspiration for my master bedroom.  A gorgeous mix of white, pink and brown so as not to be too girly and precious even though I would love to cover everything in pink and flowers.   But I have to have a few guyish things here and there...the brown should suffice.  This beautiful picture is from the lovely blog of Sis Boom.  So many cute things and fun stuff on her blog!

Flowered wallpaper inside!  So cute and you never think to do that little stuff but it does make such a difference.  It definitely is the little things.  When you open up this closet how can you not smile?   So sorry, I forgot where I found this pic.  I am very bad at that...I must start making notes when saving pictures.  But I just get so lost in the pictures of pretty things that I forget!

Do I have any sand on me?

My brother's little baby boy in the cutest picture ever.  His name is Muscles and he is all boy.  Any time he can eat something, chew something, get dirty, roll in sand, eat poop, or generally just make a mess of himself he is ready.  This is on the beach outside our house on The Jersey Shore during a winter storm...isn't it so cute!  This picture should be in a book of cutest dog pictures ever!
